CHAPTER 2: JACOB AND LEAH: FROM PAIN TO PRAISE

This is the epitome of a bad marriage; it does not get much worse than Jacob and Leah’s relationship (or lack thereof). Yet, in the disappointment and heartbreak of her awful marriage, Leah learns how to “Praise” God. With a depth of “Praise” that is much more than a Hallelujah shout, but a confession of her need for God, Leah finds an intimacy with God that unleashes the power and meaning she needs. Leah’s ability to develop a godly perspective in an awful marriage provides a model for finding stability in the inevitable instabilities of the marriage journey.
